5 of the 6 students who were recognized

Each year St. Francis High School students participate in the economic acumen test, as part of The Minnesota Economics Challenge. SFHS had six students score in the top 30 out of 700 students who took the test.

This year’s award winners from SFHS are Abraham James, Chase Juran, Abby Kingston, Ozker Maughen, Maksim Vediashkin and SI Xiong.

The Minnesota Economics Challenge is an event put on by the Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE). MCEE hosts a team state tournament and also recognizes individuals who score highly on the economic acumen test. The top 30 highest scoring students in the state are recognized for their high scores with a certificate and prize money of $50. These students completed a 30 question multiple choice test in 35 minutes.
