Eleven students from St. Francis High School participated in the annual Minnesota DECA State Career Development Conference in Minneapolis, March 1-3.

Jack Humphrey – Quick Serve Restaurant Management
Skyler Algiere and Carly Knapp - School Based Enterprise - Food
This April, Humphrey, Algiere and Knapp will travel to Atlanta, Ga. to compete with more than 24,000 top students from around the world at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) – the pinnacle of DECA competition.
Through SFHS DECA Chapter Gold and Membership Campaigns: MaKenzie Boen, Grace Geray and Vivian Schibonski will also be attending ICDC. They will be attending the Emerging Leader Series that empowers DECA members to provide effective leadership through goal setting, consensus building and project implementation.
Additionally, Ava Scandariato and Humphrey were recognized at the State conference as Outstanding Members and Lisa-Marie Schrag was recognized as an Outstanding Advisor.
During the school year, 7,000 Minnesota DECA members take part in the organization's competitive events program, allowing them to compete in over 70 events focused in the areas of entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality, marketing and other related fields. The competitions are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios and test students’ academic understanding and skills development. After qualifying earlier this year, district winners put their talents to the test during the State Career Development Conference.
