Aubrey with her poster and certificate

Audrey Skuza, a third grade student at Cedar Creek Elementary School, was the winner of the Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE) poster contest. Skuza competed with more than 100 students in Minnesota and 13 were selected as winners from grades 2-8.

For the contest, students were tasked with creating a visual representation of an economic or personal finance concept that they learned about.

Skuza received a check for $50 and may be featured in MCEE's calendar.

More about the contest: The competition is offered at multiple age-levels to allow students of all ages and abilities to participate. Submissions were evaluated by industry, academic, and community leaders with backgrounds in and a passion for economics and personal finance education in Minnesota. The Poster Contest program is offered by the MCEE to encourage students to express their passion for and knowledge of economics using interdisciplinary methods in the arts and technology.
